This was a challenge since the majority of what the general public would consider “abstract & modern” art was created after 1927 (which is when the Public Domain ends in the United States currently).
However, after many long months of internet sleuthing, tirelessly scouring dozens of public domain digital archives (and getting a bit creative with my hunt) I’ve finally curated an entire gallery of beautiful high resolution Abstract & Modern art for you to download and enjoy FOR FREE!
Here’s just a sneak peek of what you’ll find in the collection, head over to the Abstract & Modern Gallery to explore the rest of the artwork I’ve curated for you!
*SPECIAL USAGE NOTES FOR THIS COLLECTION: While all the images in this gallery are available for your own PERSONAL USE, please be aware that not all the images showcased here are in the public domain and are therefore not all the image here are available for COMMERCIAL USE, specifically works from the Smithsonian American Art Museum and Unsplash have modified usage conditions that you will need to read if planning to use any of the artwork in this gallery outside of your own personal use.
